Summary

This role is responsible for managing the maintenance operations for B787/A320.Job Description


1. Operational Control and Scheduling

  • Monitoring, planning, controlling & coordinating Aircraft changes movement, AOG situations (e.g. RTB, ATB) & Aircraft changes requirements in Singapore based on CoC input and Scoot OCC requirements.
  • Informing all “Down-line Stations’ of special operating requirement and aircraft type changes to ensure availability of THA aircraft type coverage.
  • Updating of delays, incidents, accidents, VVIP flight. AOG status via text messaging services.
  • Coordination for emergency operations including incident/accident management.
  • To monitor flight schedule and make flight rotation/changes for the next 24 hours for both 320/787 fleet with Scoot OCC.
  • Escalation for manpower for ad-hoc tasks due critical/incoming defects that requires urgent rectification.

2. Technical Advice & Support

  • Provide technical advice and support to THA, flight crews & OCC for B787/A320.
  • Monitor ADD and MEL restriction for B787/A320.
  • Provide technical advice, documentations reference and provide necessary back-end coordination for B787/A320.
  • Assist with AOG spares preparation, relief flight and activation of AOG team when aircraft AOG overseas for B787/A320. 

3.Maintenance Operations and Flight Protection & Recovery

  • Augment and manage daily maintenance operations of B787/A320 Line operation and ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are carried out as assigned and agreed in daily operation meetings to prevent overrun. 
  • Management of delays / AOG situations and provide coordination with service partners and relevant departments for technical support, spares and manpower for daily operations/ delays/AOG/ Incidents/ Accidents for B787/A320
  • Monitor Deferred Defects and Critical Task limited to critical ADDs, critical planned tasks and fleet modification programmes to ensure task completion before expiry.
  • Monitor, record and analyse all delays attributed to Engineering and follow up for further rectification.
  • On-site recovery and coordinate with combined SIA and SIAEC Engineering Technical Support (TSE) to provide trouble shooting recommendations for the assigned LAE for call-backs, RTB/RTO/ATB, flight delays and AOGs in SIN when required and liaise LMCC to expedite spares preloading and collection from warehouse.
  • Perform flight observer and aircraft delivery duties as assigned for B787/A320.

4. Others

  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate superior.


Requirements:

  • Experience with line maintenance operations and inventory management.
  • Team oriented and resourceful but able to work independently, when required.
  • Preferably experience SAR66 License Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) with B787 and/or A320 type coverage.
